Birdwatch, reading and literacy

  1. On Friday the children took part in the RSPB Birdwatch. We explored the school grounds and went to the bird hide to see if we could find any birds. We managed to spot some pigeons, seagulls, blackbirds and magpies.
  2. We have recently dedicated an area in our classroom for reading to encourage the children to read, share stories and discuss books. We love using this area to relax after completing our work.
  3. In Literacy we have been looking at persuasive writing in the form of holiday brochures to prepare us for our writing next week. We were able to work collaboratively in groups and we shared ideas before presenting them to the rest of the class.
